Over the past four decades the people that Charlie has played for reads like a Who’s Who of the Entertainment Industry.

Within 5 years of turning professional in 1973, he was working for some of the leading lights in the UK Punk/NewWave movement.  Sessions in 1978 for emerging super-star Kate Bush were soon followed by a European & North American tour with Human Rights Activist, Tom Robinson.

By the early 1908′s, Charlie was one of the most sought-after session drummers in Europe.  It was his work on Nik Kershaw‘s ground-breaking first two albums that brought him to the attention of Elton John. The sessions for “Ice on Fire”  in March 1985 led to Charlie joining Elton’s band for Live Aid, following which Elton hired Charlie for his 1985/6 world tour. This was the beginning of a 13-year working relationship, during which Charlie toured the world a dozen times and also recorded 6 albums.

Charlie has also worked with such luminaries as Paul McCartney, Tina Turner, George Michael (Wham!), Gary Moore, Trisha Yearwood, Kate Bush, Tammy Wynette, Duane Eddie, Henry Mancini, Lionel Ritchie, Bruce Hornsby, Billy Joel, to mention but a few.

He has played on over 50 gold albums, 20+ platinum albums, dozens of film soundtracks and literally hundreds ot advertising jingles, as well as numerous TV themes.
